Whether you're a beginner or an intermediate kayaker, this trip will satisfy your needs. Using the Sarapiqui River as our training ground, the group will run the river at least two times a day, developing and practicing their skills along the way. The instructors are local paddlers and know the river like the palm of their hand. A 4 to 1 student instructor ratio guarantees safety and lots of fun.
Fly to San Jose.
Leave your hometown and fly to San Jose. Upon arrival, you will be met outside the customs and immigration area of the airport. This representative will answer questions, brief you on the immediate arrangements and escort you to your hotel.Lodging: Hotel Tennis Club (or similar)

Travel to Sarapiqui River/ Afternoon Kayaking
Drive through the Braulio Carrillo National Park and arrive at River Lodge . Outfit kayaks and prepare personal gear. Lunch. Afternoon kayak section on river pool.Lodging: Selva Verde Lodge

Define your level and ability
At this point the instructor will have an idea of your paddle abilities and your goals for the course. We'll paddle the class I section of the river, practicing different strokes and techniquesLodging: Selva Verde Lodge

Introduction to class III
The instructors will determinate if you are ready for some class III whitewater. This section of the river has a couple of small class III rapids that are easy to scout and paddle. We can decide if you want to run it or portage. You'll spend the rest of the day practicing your technique on the river.Lodging: Selva Verde Lodge.

Pacuare River
The group will travel to the Pacuare River to run the class III section. There will be a raft on the trip for those that do not fell like kayak this section.Lodging: Pacuare River Lodge

Pacuare River
This is the last day of paddling. And what a better of ending a great vacation than paddle down one of the most scenic river on the planet. Travel back to San Jose.Lodging: Tennis Club
